Legs are the longest members of the human body. In the case of Daniel’s interpretation, it is safe to say both legs do not bend their knees to the things of God. When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bend their knee to this idol, it was to honor God and to let others know around them that their God is greater. Has it ever occurred to you as a child of God why organized crime, like the mafia, is drawn to Catholicism, their religion of choice? Why do drug dealers and their users wear a crucifix about their neck? There is no power in either to convict them of sin, let alone give them new life. Violent men do not inherit the kingdom. As Jesus was, so should we be rebuking evil and embracing what we know is good and of the kingdom. Did you know that a false witness is an abomination to God?
