If you know the story of Gideon he began with 32,000 men and G-d brought it down to 300 men. It is a time when light pollution did not exist and sleeping under the stars was spectacular. “Now, therefore, come, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is afraid and trembling, let him return and depart from Mount Gilead.’” So 22,000 people returned, but 10,000 remained.  (Judges 7:3) Then the LORD said to Gideon, “The people are still too many; bring them down to the water and I will test them for you there. We know that G-d left HIS throne and came to us as a child born in a manger a place where animals slept and defecated. HE Jesus Christ is G-d incarnate, HE became lowly and humble, and the world stood confused, except for those who were in the know and they were few.  The religious leaders of Jesus day rejected him. They wanted a Nimrod or Barabbas a mighty man. Things don’t change very much.
